Leaders vs. bosses: how principals can be principled

This pretty much nails it. I had too many principals who were bosses, and bullied us into following their leads or acting the way their agendas demanded. (Don't make a fuss, don't change, help me look good to the powers-that-be.)  I've written about this before:  School leadership, but this graphic sums it all up.

Invitation to submit to the Canadian Journal of Action Research (CJAR)

CJAR is a freely accessible, full-text, peer-reviewed electronic journal intended for elementary, secondary, college and university teachers who are concerned with exploring the unity between educational research and practice.  The editorial board of CJAR is now welcoming contributions for its upcoming issues.  We invite any submissions that contribute to educational knowledge through action research.  We are particularly interested in two types of submissions:  Action Research Reports that discuss the methods, data collection and results of particular projects; and Articles about Action Research that address issues of current importance to action researchers.

Submissions are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process.  We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines.

Please contact us at and visit our website to know more about CJAR.
