Canadian Federal Election 2011

Yes, another Federal election, with a provincial one coming up in the fall. Will you work with your Canadian students to achieve some understanding of the electoral process?
Below are bulletin board activities we used to help us understand the differences between federal/provincial/municipal responsibilities.

It is based on one aspect of the Election process: it could be about a candidate, a comparison of candidates in your riding, a discussion and comparison of the election process in another country. Do not forget to use COPS! ...

Great events, on a four year cycle are great fodder for ideas: The Olympics and Election 2006 were great sources of inspiration. I have found that many of my materials are transferable to different ages and stages. ...
