So often we spend time correcting behaviour. Just before parent-teacher interviews, and student-led conferencing, I would send home this letter. Parents would write some good things about their child.
It is read at the end of the conference, to set kids off on a positive note. It really made a difference.
My children are now 24, 26 and 30 years old, but I make sure I tell them how much I love them. I point out the good things they are doing every time we talk.
